It’s been a year since I bought a pair of jeans and I underestimated the effect a new item of clothing would have on me and my wardrobe. It was like when you’re craving food and you just don’t know what it is… you keep eating but nothing ever satisfies – until you hit upon the flavour you desire. I didn’t realise why I was feeling so lack luster until Dr Denim and his Jamie Olive Jeans jumped out and slapped me in the face while I was in General Pants on Saturday.

Dr Denim, you gave me and my wardrobe that adrenaline injection that we needed. And then I visited your website and fell in love with your brand. Dr, your website is cool, your photography is even cooler and you make my arse look rounder and perkier than Cheap Monday. You’ve got me. Aaahhh. I’m going to go down the street in my new jeans.

I CAN’T GET NO SATISFACTION

My housemates a bit over work at the moment. You have good days, and bad ones. But today wasn’t such a bad day overall because she came home with her eye on two pairs of shoes, a top and a hat. Love a little bit of online browsing. Especially on a Friday. So . . . I tweeted this ‘I’d be interested to see a trend report on the relationship between online shopping and job satisfaction.’ And Dan did this:

EATING DESIGN

Melbourne’s known for her restaurants and bars. Hidden in lane ways, underground, on rooftops – you name it. All the good ones are tucked away, and sometimes hard to find, if you don’t know what you’re looking for. But when you do find one the first thing you see isn’t the food. It’s the sign. The logo. The decor. The staff. The food is really your last point of contact. Unless you count the bill. Which, if you think about it is not the best note to leave on. Anyhoo. In my research I cam across the crew responsible for the identity of some of Melbourne’s most loved eateries. Round.

I love their website. I really appreciate the type in columns. It makes me happy. As does the design for Gingerboy, Cutler & Co. and Cumulus.
